- 8 oz flour
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/4 teaspoon tartaric acid
- sour milk
- pinch salt
sift the flour, soda and tartaric acid into a bowl and add enough sour milk to mix to a soft dough.
Roll out on to a floured board into a round shape 1/2 inch thick.
Bake in a hot oven for 10-15 minutes.
Serve cut across to make 6 scones.
