- 170 g flour
- 57 g castor sugar
- 113 g butter
- pinch salt
Mix flour and salt and rub in butter and sugar.
Knead to a dough, then roll out and form into a round cake.
Crimp the edges, prick all over with a fork and mark into portions with a knife besore baking.
Place on a baking sheet lined with greased paper and bake in a slow oven for 1 hour.
Dredge with castor sugar.
Another recipe: bake about 15 minutes at 300°-325°F. If baked too long it becomes hard.
